86 Years Old. Still Just Getting Started.
Amplify’s past is rich. Our future is bold. And everything we’ve walked through has been to make room for someone like you to find freedom, purpose, and home.
How It All Started…
Amplify Church began in 1939, right in the heart of downtown Raleigh—at the corner of Halifax and Franklin Streets. In 1956, we did something wild: we physically cut the church building in half and rolled both sections on logs three blocks south to the corner of Wilmington and North Streets. Just a few years later, in 1962, we moved again—this time to Garner, just south of Raleigh—carrying the same message of Jesus every step of the way.
Fast forward to today:
While the message of God’s love and rescue has never changed, He’s doing something fresh in us and through us. With renewed focus on children, passionate worship, and bold Bible teaching, we felt called to take a new step of faith. In the summer of 2020, we moved into the growing community of Willow Spring, NC.
That’s why we call ourselves a brand new old church—85 years of legacy, still all-in on what’s next.
